Firecrackers

The Most Beautiful Little Firecracker...

Everyone knows someone they would call a firecracker. In my life this gorgeous little girl is definitely one of them. This is my niece, Kiana. She is a lot like her mom in the way that she speaks her mind, knows what she wants, and is so much fun to be around... and of course, like her mom, she is simply stunning! At four this little firecracker underwent open heart surgery and one of the hardest parts of her recovery was just getting her to slow down for a while :) She is quite the kiddo, and this shoot was a lot of fun for me. For most of it, it was just Kiana, Bryten and me, and we had a blast! Bryten was our professional reflector holder and assistant flower picker. He made holding the reflector look like so much fun that Kiana wanted to try her hand at it to.. :) So here are a few from my shoot with my mother-in-law (Debbie), sister-in-law (Nichole), and niece... Boys and Bikes...

Busy Boys... 

This family, much like our own, has three busy boys... Boys, unlike a lot of girls, don't usually care a whole lot for pictures. They don't have a bunch of camera poses they want to show you, they don't want to dance or twirl for you :) , they don't want whisper secrets to their siblings or parents like a lot of the little girls I have done pictures for. This, is normal. They are boys lol. Some boys totally break this mold, but for the ones that don't I completely get it because that is how my boys are! They are tough and handsome and every now and then you can catch a sweet moment when you see them looking at their mom, or dad or siblings. That is how these boys are. 

Jaxon, the youngest, did not enjoy pictures as much as he usually does. But, with the help of some plums from our plum tree and a motorcycle (or two) he came around we had some fun. It was a quick session for us, it was drizzly that day  (it seems to ALWAYS rain when I get together with this family for a shoot :)...) but the weirdest thing is it was still very bright and sunny with just a few random minutes of sprinkling here and there. Almost like the sky was saying, I know I'm supposed to rain whenever you see these guys but I'm just not in the mood today... lol.
